Our Botanical Raw Ingredients

Lavender 
Oregano
Rosemary 

Lavender is known for its aromatic and therapeutic properties, largely due to its rich terpene profile. The most significant terpenes found in lavender include:
 Linacyl Acetate, Linalool, Perillyl alcohol and Geraniol and is not only fragrant but calming, anti-tumor, anti-anxiety, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, a sleep aid and an anti-oxidant.

Oregano produces Carvacrol which is anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial and Cymene indicated in anti-inflammation, anti-cancer and neuroprotection and Caryophyllene  which has all the above properties as well as being considered a Neuroprotector.

Rosemary produces the all important anti-cancer d-Limonene as well as Pinene, these are considered to have antimicrobial,   antioxidation, neuroprotection  and anti-anxiety properties

Dill
Lemongrass
Bergamot

Dill is packed with flavonoids and B-complex vitamins, which are known to help boost digestion and calm the nervous system. Its seeds and leaves are natural antioxidants. But the major interest to us is that it produces large amounts of d-Limonene, our anti-anxiety, anti-inflammation, anti-oxidation and anti-cancer terpene.

Lemongrass is a revitalizing herb containing Citral, which offers natural antimicrobial and digestive support. Its bright essence helps soothe the mind and body.
Of major importance to us is that Lemongrass produces high levels of Myrcene, good for soothing and relaxation, but more importantly anti-inflammation and anti-cancer.

Bergamot is a unique citrus prized for its calming Linalool content and uplifting scent, which helps balance emotions and soothe the soul. Its diverse botanical compounds also provide natural antioxidant and stress-relief benefits.
Bergamot produces d-Limonene for infection and tumor fighting, anti-inflammation, antioxidation and anti-anxiety.
We are interested in 3 varieties:
Lemon Bergamot - Monarda Citrodora
Bergamot Mint - a hybrid that contains large amounts of d-limonene
Wild Bergamot - Mondara Fistulosa (bee balm) - which contains Thymol, Geraniol, Carvacol, p-cymene and α-terpinene which we will use for teas.

Peppermint
Lemon Balm
Tea Tree

Peppermint is an ancient herb valued for its cooling properties and digestive support. Its menthol-rich leaves provide a refreshing, clarifying aroma.
Peppermint produces d-limonene and Perillyl alcohol for anti- cancer, anti-oxidant,  anti-inflammation as well as anti-anxiety properties.

Lemon Balm is known for its calming citrus scent. It helps ease anxiety, promote better sleep, and has traditionally been used to support healthy memory functions.
Lemon Balm produces Citrol and Geranial both Anti-microbials and large quantities of Caryophyllene for anti-inflammation, anti-cancer, anti-oxidation and Neuroprotection.

Tea tree (Malaleuca Alternifolia) is a remarkable botanical prized for its cleansing properties and natural ability to support skin health and a robust immune response.
Our interest is that it is recognized in clinical studies for its healing properties and effectiveness in treating burns and promoting wound healing.

Citrus

Citrus trees (lemon and lime) will form part of our “Forest Bathing” greenhouse, we will use the fruit as well as purchasing commercial organic fruit to extract d-LIMONENE from the peel in our still.  Citrus Peel produces high volumes of turpenes considered to be anti-cancer, anti-inflammation, antioxidant, neuroprotection and anti-anxiety.

Hop Cones

Hops produce large amounts of pinene, limonene, cymene, perillyl alcohol and caryophyllene.
All rich in cancer-fighting, anti-oxidant,  anti-inflammation as well as anti-anxiety properties.
We live in Yakima, the hop capital of the USA and in the perfect location to purchase hop cones of all of the varietals of interest to us.

Thyme
Peppermint
Sage

Thyme is a powerful antioxidant rich in Thymol, which has strong antiseptic and antibacterial properties. It has been used for centuries to support respiratory health and immune function.
Thymol an antimicrobial that supports immunity, Thyme also produces the important anti-cancer d-linonene as well as Cymene indicated in anti-inflammation, anti-cancer and neuroprotection.

Peppermint leaves are famous for their cooling menthol content. It is known to aid digestion, relieve headaches, and improve mental focus through its invigorating aroma.
Peppermint produces d-limonene and Perillyl alcohol for anti- cancer, anti-oxidant,  anti-inflammation as well as anti-anxiety.

Sage is revered for its cognitive-enhancing properties. It contains compounds that may improve memory and protect brain health, while also acting as a natural anti-inflammatory agent.
Sage produces Beta Caryophyllene and is an anti-inflammatory

Chamomile
Basil
Ginger

Chamomile is widely celebrated for its gentle sedative properties. It is commonly used to reduce stress, improve sleep quality, and soothe digestive discomfort.
Chamomile produces α-bisabolol and chamazulene, which are known for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Additionally, it contains bioflavonoids such as apigenin and quercetin, contributing to its calming effects

Basil is rich in antioxidants and essential oils. It is known for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects, often used to promote cardiovascular health and clear skin.
Basil produces Pinene, mycene,  and d-limonene  for anti- cancer, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammation, neuroprotection  as well as anti-anxiety.

Ginger root is a vibrant rhizome celebrated for its potent warming effects. It naturally supports digestive harmony and helps maintain a balanced inflammatory response.
Ginger root contains several terpenes, including zingiberene, β-bisabolene, cineol, geraniol, linalool, citral, borneol, α-farnesene, β-phellandrene, and curcumene.  
Ginger has many therapeutic effects including anti-nausea, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant.
